At the Park

So a LONG time ago I asked one of my student workers (Courtney) to come with me to Dragon Park to do a photo shoot. I had never shot pictures there but love the park so wanted to try it out. She said yes but then the time NEVER worked out. We decided to include her roommate (Diane) in on the shoot and kept setting dates...and cancelling dates. Setting dates...and cancelling dates. FINALLY we were able to get together and they brought along their friend (Gaby) and we had our photo shoot. To be honest, not the best place I ever shot, also the lighting at that time of day not so great. BUT regardless we finally did our shoot and they are young, beautiful college girls so of course the pictures still look great and I think everyone had fun...at least I hope they did! Sorry it has taken so long girls but hope you like your pictures

Graduation Pictures

So this is my gorgeous cousin (and student worker) Elizabeth

She has a beautiful smile and you can see it in the rest of the pictures but I couldn't resist adding that one because it is soooo gorgeous!! I can't believe she is getting ready to graduate from COLLEGE!?! But she is and I am super proud of her and was glad to help her get some pictures for the occasion.

Love you girl! Hope you love the pictures...many more to come :)

Things...

So this is not a "people" post...it is a "things" post. When I first got interested in photography I mostly took pictures of things, buildings, trees etc...but lately I have been enjoying people SO much that I have sort of let that slip. Over the past few photo shoots though I have taken some time out to snap a few of these things that are around us. I have then used these things to practice using some different editing tools. Since this blog is supposed to be about what is going on with my photography I decided to take the time to show you some of the results...as you will be able to tell I especially love trees! But it is cool to see how many different things I can do with the trees. So if this post bores you...sorry! :) More people to come soon.

This one is my favorite! I just love this tree!

Homecoming Queen

Okay so she was not REALLY homecoming queen this year but my friend Amanda was here visiting for homecoming and she indulged my photographic tendencies one afternoon. We had a blast playing together and even got thrown out of Union Station! Too fun! Amanda I hope you like them - I think you look absolutely gorgeous!

The Beautiful People

So the long awaited (since yesterday) and much anticipated (by Shawna anyway) preview is finally here! This family is super gorgeous and was so much fun yesterday! We did lots of different groups of people so it was hard to decide what to preview, but here are a few favorites SO FAR (more to come that I might like better later...you never know!) Hope you love them Shawna! It was great working with you guys!

There were so many cute people I just did a collage of them all!

And just b/c I love her and she is so darn cute an extra of Shawna :)

Mommy Mini Shoot

So I have taken pictures of this pretty lady's family twice now (see post below for latest cute shots) and have always wanted to get some of her solo! She is beautiful with these amazing eyes and gorgeous curly hair. She is such a great mom too and I have loved getting to know her and her family! This past photo shoot dad played with Elizabeth while I snuck about 5 minutes with Kimberly and I think the pictures are AMAZING!! Keep in mind this is how she looks AFTER an hour of chasing her daughter and doing crazy stunts for my picture ideas! Thanks for everything Kimberly...I hope you love them!
